To this day, I've gotta say: I love J.Crew.
The company has had it's ups and downs, but I admire that brand's willingness to push new creative and business boundaries.
I started my career writing for J.Crew back in 1999 and it was a great place to kick things off. During that time, I wrote for the catalog and wrote or edited all copy for jcrew.com--which was growing rapidly at the time. I also had the pleasure of working on a very small, three person creative team that played an integral role in one of the website's early redesigns.
